Just Do the Move in STREET DANCE 2!

If you are a dancer, a frustrated dancer like me, dance choreographer, a hip-hop dancer, a ballroom dancer, a fan of a dancer, a friend of a dancer, a family of a dancer or simply a dance enthusiast...YOU ought to watch this!

Cast:

Sofia Boutella as Eva, Salsa/Latin dancer and romantic interest
Falk Hentschel as Ash, the protagonist
George Sampson as Eddie, Ash's m anager
Richard Winsor as Tomas
Akai Osei as Junior
Tom Conti as Manu, Eva's uncle
Flawless as dance crew "The Surge"

Plot:

After suffering humiliation by the crew Invincible, street dancer Ash (Hentschel) looks to gather the best dancers from around the world for a rematch. Sure did he find the best dancers that he need to redeem himself but it seems that he needs more than a team but a lot of courage and confidence to win the battle. When he decided to add Latin element to his street dance routine with the help of the Salsa dancer Eva (Sofia Boutella), things seem to fall in their right places as has been planned but Ash's incidental meeting with the Invincible Crew shook everything to pieces. Now, he is bound to return to his old self once again - quitter, coward. Is he bound to fail or will he be able to bounce back? Watch the film and see how Ash dances his way to the top.

Why Watch?
  • The dance routines are awesome from the very beginning to the end. The moves are truly heart stopping.  This is the main reason why you should watch the movie.
  • The cinematography is simply beautiful. Check out the full shots of these: London Bridge, The Eiffel Tower, London, Paris by night, and you should check out for yourself where the finale of the movie is and just be mesmerized.
  • If you have a little bit of interest to dance, you may watch it to be more inspired.
  • See how Latin steps get incorporated with hip hop. Sexy and oh so cool!

Why Not Watch?

  • The story of the movie might just seem too familiar with you because many dance movies follow quite similar plots.
  • No big names in this movie. These stars are not very familiar but they all can dance. Acting may not be very good but fair enough. Sofia Boutella's acting is far better than Whitney Houston's acting in The Bodyguard. (Sorry for the comparison, I just saw the movie last night and I just think it wasn't worth watching the second time around. But of course, I have to deal with this another time.)

10/10 - My expectations were met and I enjoyed it. I love the moves.
